Buying Shoes Online – Help and Advice For When Purchasing Shoes Online

A few years ago, if you were looking to purchase a new pair of shoes, you went off to a department or shoe store; Looked around, tried a few pairs on and took your purchase home that day. These days, more and more people are deciding not to go into town, and buying their shoes online. Now, I believe this is partly because we've become more busy, but mostly because we now have access to brands, designers, styles and sizes that are not available to purchase in our local shoe stores. If you feel the need for a women's size 14, extra-narrow (or wide), red pump with a 3 inch high heel, chances are, you'll find it at one of many online shoe stores.

However, not all online shoe stores are the same. So i have put together some advice, and things to look out for when buying shoes online.

1) Post and packaging Charges: The Added Cost when Buying Shoes Online.

Always find out what the P & P charges are before spending lots of time adding items to cart or shopping bag. You may think you're getting a bargain on all those shoes, but if P & P cost is too high, you may end up paying more than anticipated. Especially when ordering from a country other than the one you live in. Lots of online shoe shops offer free P & P, which is great! But do some price comparisons before you purchase. Sometimes, you'll get a better deal at an online shoe shop that charges a reasonable price for P & P, and still save EKK.

2) Returns / Exchanges – Know the Policies in Advance.

Another major factor in buying shoes online, is being able to return or exchange them if there's something wrong with them, they do not fit, or just are not the way you thought they would be. Most online shoe stores will have a returns policy, but DO NOT take it for granted. Make sure before putting in those card details, that you'll be able to return the unused shoes for any reason.

Ok, if you're taking a chance on a heavily discounted pair of shoes, then you may decide to buy without a return policy. But you still need to know what your rights for that sale are before buying.

Also, find out in advance if you'll have to pay the return postal fees, if you do decide to send the shoes back.

3) Want your Shoes quick? Check delivery Times. If its an absolute must that you have a certain pair of shoes by "xx" date, I strictly advise buying them in person at an actual shoe shop. Or ordering them well in advance, and that there are other options available if your shoes do not arrive in time.

I AM NOT saying that online shoes do not post out in a timely fashion! In fact, I have purchased many pairs of shoes online, and they have all arrived in record time, but why take any chances?

Again, find out the delivery policy of the online shoe shop you're buying from, and make sure the shoes are buying are actually in stock! If they are backordered, this could add weeks till you get them.

~ Summery ~ As long as you buy from reputable online shoe stores and pay extra attention to the info above, buying online is an excellent way to save time and money; and to give yourself the biggest choice when buying shoes online.

Shoe Storage – The Shoe Aficionado’s Friend

You may not be in Imelda Marcos's league (in the 1980's, the widow of former Philippine president Fernando Marco was infamous for, among other things, her collection of more than 3,000 shoes), but you're no slouch in the shoe department. You have shoes for everyday wear, for your dancing nights on the town, and for each of your athletic pursuits. Oh, and you just found a great shoe sale, so you'll be adding to your already more-than-adequate shoe supply. Maybe it's time to think about shoe storage.

Stacking your shoes on the closet floor or lining them up under your bed might work, but if you want to be able to find just the right shoe at a moment's notice, a more organized form of shoe storage can do the trick.

With so many types and style of shoe organizers on the market, the only trouble you will have with shoe storage is deciding which one to choose.

Here are a few of your options:

If you want to keep your shoes out where you and others can admire them, consider a standing, rotating, shoe tree to display your collection. You'll find spinning shoe trees in attractive finishes like metallic bronze, and the best come with racks that can be adjusted vertically. Look for a rack with a weighted bottom to keep the stand from tipping over.

If you want the ultimate protection for your shoes, take a look at canvas shoe drawers, where you can hide your shoes away from dust and potential scuffing. You can find shoe drawers either as free-standing or hanging units. With shoe drawers, you gain the added flexibility of being able to store other items, like scarves, socks, or belts.

If saving space is an issue, how about an over-the-door shoe rack? Over-the-door shoe racks come in several styles, everything from a bamboo rack for your flip-flops and sandals to racks with fashionable wood frames and chrome inserts.

With the proper shoe storage , you'll always have room for that perfect new pair!

If Someone is Erasing Or Deleting Their Text Messages, is it a Sign of Cheating?

I often hear from people who can not help but notice that their husband, wife, boyfriend, or girlfriend has been increasingly sending and receiving text messages. However, when they go to check up on those texts, they've often been deleted or erased.

I often hear comments like: "my husband will go and try to find privacy when he's texting. I'll see he has a mischievous and excited look on his face and I get a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. when I get a hold of the phone later to see who he's been texting and what he's been saying, I find that he's deleted his entire history. What is going on? Should I be worried that he's cheating on me and using his cell phone to do it? "

These concerns are most definitely valid. Statistics show that it's increasingly common for people to get cating cheating from their cell phones. And, it's very tempting for cheaters to sending playful and flirtatious texts to someone who you are cheating with. Plus, the cheater often thinks that all they have to do is hit the delete button to erase all evidence of wrongdoing. (This assumption can be just plain wrong.)

If you confront your loved one about the deleted texts, they'll often tell you that they were trying to save memory on their phone or that it's just their habit not to let their messages clutter up their phone. And, I suppose there are cases where this is a valid excuse. But, it will often help to look at how soon after the message's use that they are actually deleting it. It's less problematic if they let the message sit there for days or weeks before they get around to erasing it. But, if they're erasing immediately after it's sent or received, then this becomes a good bit more suspicious.

If your loved one is even reasonably tech savvy (and they are very likely if they're constantly messaging, then they are reasonably know that they can easily set their phone to automatically delete old messages after a specified period of time so that having to go in and manually do this is really over kill.

What To Do When Your Loved One Is Constantly Deleting Their Texts: As I see it, you have a few choices here. You can ask or confront them about this, but I have to tell you that an extremely large majority of cheaters will firmly deny any wrong doing. You can ask yourself if there are any places where you're seeing odd behaviors (like at the computer) and then try to follow up and check those places. You can also check the call log, photos, and sent emails. There is software that allows you to go back in and read the texts and only you can decide if you want to take this that far.

I think it often comes down to the other behaviors that surround the messaging and whether or not you believe that this is all innocent or not. And, if you've found this article, I suspect that you might feel like there is more to this than saving phone memory. Sometimes this is not the case, but many times, it is.
